July was a very busy month for
our family. We had a fun 4th of July, with a pool party at
our house with a big group of friends. Everyone
had a good time. Although, Ashby & Dalton were in bed long
before the fireworks show started. Oh well, maybe in a few more
years!
Then we celebrated
Dalton's 1st Birthday on the 10th of July. We had quite
the family get together at our house. We all enjoyed watching Dalton
dig into his chocolate cake! At the end of the month the whole Bellows
family (Us, Richard, Cheri, Alex, & Jeff, Kim, and their kids)
were able to go on vacation
for a week to St. George Utah to visit some
family
there. We had a great time visiting with everyone.
The drive was pretty long, but both kids did great (thanks to portable
DVD players).
We were
able
to rent a house for all of us, that turned
out to be amazing.
The
backyard
was at
least 1 acre and had a beautiful pool, hot tub, swingset,
playhouse, firepit, and
plenty of room for a wiffle ball game. We
enjoyed visiting with family we hadn't seen in forever!
The
kids (and adults) went swimming almost everyday. We set
off some
fireworks
at night
which
the kids loved. We also roasted
marshmallows
in the firepit,
and made s'mores. We had such an amazing time we
are hoping to do it again next year!
Ryan had
a relaxing vacation with the family, but
is trying to play some catch up at work now.
We hope to see him home again for dinner soon!!! Ryan
found out he passed the Utah Bar! Yeah for
Ryan! We are not moving to Utah..but are excited that
he can
defend a
big client in Utah for his Firm now(also passing the
Utah bar has reciprocity in 5 other states).
Stefani
is keeping busy with the kids. Stef & Alex's soccer
season is over. We are going to start up again in the
fall. It was a lot of fun! Stefani is also enjoying
playing on a women's basketball team at the
YMCA. Her latest obsession is digital scrapbooking(click
here to view scrapbook gallery). No messy scrapbooking
supplies all over the house anymore (Ryan is thrilled!)
Ashby turned 3
at the end of February. She
is our social butterfly. She loves going to playdates
with her
friends and visiting with family. She had a blast on
our vacation. Swimming everyday and living with
her Grandparents and Aunt Kim for a week vacation was a dream
come true for her. She still loves going to her gymnastics
class,
and we are still trying to decide if we are going to
send her to preschool in the fall. She already pretends
to go to school each morning by putting on her backpack
and sitting at the table to practice writing
her letters. It is pretty cute.
Dalton
is 1 year old now. He was hilarious to watch dig
into his cake. He really didn't hold back! He especially
loved when we all sang Happy Birthday to him.
He was smiling ear to ear the whole time. Dalton
can walk
around pretty good now. After the
8 hour car trip we came home and he was walking
around like crazy!
