January has
brought us snow & more snow. The
kids love it, but those of us that shovel are hoping
for more sunny days. We had a fun New
Year's. Stef's family including all
the kids(except Dalton...he's way too much to handle at a nice
sit down dinner!) had dinner
at the Vista Grille a yummy steak house.
After dinner everyone went home to put the
kids
to bed and we hosted games and ice-cream crepes at our house
(our specialty). It
was a lot of fun to
visit with just the adults without all the kids running around. On another
note, our computer's
hard drive completely crashed.
Luckily we backed up most of the important files a couple of
months ago. Still, we did lose a lot of files!
Just an important reminder to everyone to back up your files
often...you just never know!
Ryan had
his formal review
at his law firm.
He received very high
marks from all
the partners.
He is still busy and
works very hard. Ryan
is still serving as the
Elder's Quorum
President in our ward. Ryan found
out he passed
the Utah Bar! Yeah
for Ryan! We are not
moving to Utah..but are
excited that he can defend
a big client in Utah
for his Firm
now(also passing the Utah bar has reciprocity in 5 other states).
Stefani
is keeping busy with the kids. She received
a new calling last Sunday as 2nd
Counselor in the Primary. She is excited to be in Primary with Ashby & also
to get back to her love for teaching kids! Stef also
just started designing
another website for a heating & air
conditioning firm in Houston
Texas. Her portfolio is
slowly growing. Stef's latest obsession
is digital
scrapbooking(click
here to view scrapbook gallery). No messy
scrapbooking supplies all over the house anymore (Ryan
is thrilled!)
Ashby is
3 years old & will be turning 4 the 18th of this month. She
cannot wait for her birthday & her Princess party. She started
going to Sunbeams
in Primary at
the beginning of January.
She loves it! She sings all the songs & her 2nd
week in she gave the opening prayer in the
Chapel all
by herself. It was so cute. Her preschool is over for
the year so she will be missing her friends and teacher.
But Stefani is starting a co-op preschool with a couple other moms so
Ashby can continue to go to school. Ashby
is reading & spelling words. She thinks it is very
cool that she can actually read the words in her books by herself
now. She
still loves coloring, decorating, & making crafts & cards
for people. She will sit and color at the table for
hours for her "quiet time". It is
very nice for mom. Ashby loves trying to figure out how to spell & write
her friends & family's
names.
