August was pretty low-key month for us. I have been trying to get this update done for over a week now! I just have no time anymore for extra stuff. We have been in school for a good month now and back into the routine. Both Ashby and Dalton started AYSO soccer this month. This is Dalton's 1st year and Ashby's 3rd year. They both love it. Ashby and Dalton have both scored goals in all their games. They are fun to watch. Ryan is helping coach Ashby's team, which she totally loves.

Ryan is still enjoying his new job at NV Energy. He recieved a promotion and is now a Director. He is still doing all his legal work too. Way to go Ryan. We are all really proud of him. He has been traveling to Las Vegas a lot (probably every other week) for a few days. Ryan is still enjoying his new calling in our ward as a High Counselor. He recently was asked to conduct the dedication of the newchurch that was built in Sun Valley. I was able to attend as well as Ryan's parents (My Mom was able to watch the kids for us . . thanks Mom!!). It was a beautiful dedication. The building is gorgeous. What a blessing for the people in that area. Ryan's assignment is still over the spanish branch in Sun Valley. He is enjoying using his spanish from his mission he served in Chile Ryan is still very much enjoying his Judgeship. It continues to be a welcome change from the same old and even very rewarding.

I am keeping busy with 4 kiddies. It is an adjustment for me to not be able to get as much done during the day as I used to. But I am trying to not let it bother me. I am back working out everyday again and I love it!! Brooks has adjusted great and I am getting back into the swing of things. It is very busy but such a joy and I wouldn't have it any other way! I am still serving as 1st counselor in the Primary Presidency. I love teaching the children in our ward. We have our annual Primary Program coming up in October that I wrote. Hopefully it all goes well.

My sister Kristi and I are very excited to announce that we have started a Custom Digital Photo Card Business. We have some great custom cards for all occasions, Holidays, or invitations. customphotocards.blogspot.com

Here is Ryder's announcement. It was a double-sided pearl finish:

Ashby is 7 years old now! She just started 2nd grade. She seems to be really enjoying school so far. She had her 1st week of GATE program and she really loved it. They learned about Technology and engineering and small machines.

She is a great big sister and loves playing with Dalton and helps watch Brooks a lot. She adores little Ryder and loves holding him. She loves watching Wheel of Fortune with us at night. She is pretty darn good too! One of her favorite things to do is still writing cards to family and friends. She loves drawing, playing games, and swimming! She loves to read new books with her Daddy about presidents of the United States and Politics. She is very creative and is always finding fun things to do.She never gets bored or runs out of ideas. We have noticed she is a very talented writer. She loves to write detailed stories & poems. We are so grateful for a bright, sweet child.

Ashby loves to read; when it is quiet around the house Ashby is usually curled up reading a book somewhere. We enjoy watching Ashby's spirituality grow. She is very intuitive and sensitive to the Spirit. It is neat to watch this quality in her continue to grow. She loves reading the scriptures with us as a family and loves going to church and learning the Gospel with her friends.

Dalton is 5 years old now! He is loving being at home with Mom and his brothers. He is a great helper and likes to play and "watch" Brooks.

He is a great little reader already and loves to play the Wii.

He has become quite the little swimmer now. He loves wearing his goggles and diving for things underwater. He can swim without floaties on and loves to jump in from the side of the pool. He loves to swim!

He has really been into Math lately. He loves to add numbers in his head, and count and measure things. He will start preschool again in September. He is excited about that. Dalton LOVES friends and cousins. He makes new friends quickly wherever we go. It is really cute.He is still obsessed with anything Star Wars. Dalton continues to love his CTR 4 class at church and is learning a lot. He loves to read the scriptures with us as a family and is really interested in all the stories. He is quick to remember things we have read together. He misses Ashby at school but is enjoying time with me Brooks and Ryder. Dalton is a great big brother. He will get me a diaper when I need one, hold Brooks, and is very gentle and loving towards him. It is really cute to watch him. He also likes drawing pictures or coloring in his Spiderman book. He loves playing games on Daddy's iphone. He has a great sense of humor and always has us laughing at his antics. He loves playing outside(especially swinging or having light saber battles) and riding his bike.

Brooks is 18 months now! He has adjusted to little brother Ryder quicker and better than we thought. So that has been good. Brooks is now a Daddy's boy more than ever!! We are sure enjoying this little guy. He is learning and growing so much each day.

As soon as we brought Ryder home Brooks started saying his name. It is the cutest thing. He says it perfectly and loves to say it. He will find Ryder's pacifiers around the house and will bring them to me and say, "Ryder!". If Ryder starts crying Brooks will run to his car seat or start searching for him while saying his name over and over. "Ryder, Ryder, Ryder!"

Brooks can say so many words now it is incredible. He can say pretty much anything we ask him to say. It is great because now he is better at telling us what he wants.

Now everytime he sees Ryder he will say, "Soft" and come over and gently touch Ryder's hair or feet. We wish he would be "soft" with other members of the family! Brooks has started hitting, biting and pulling hair when he is upset. He has also discovered the power of the high pitched scream. It drives us all crazy!

Brooks is really good when I have to feed Ryder multiple times a day. He doesn't try to climb in my lap or cry at all. He just plays and finds other things to do. So I have been really happy about that because that was my biggest worry. I think Dalton really helps with that too because he loves to play with Dalton.

Brooks loves little containers to put things in and to open and close them. He loves to play with all of Dalton's Star Wars guys and make sound effects with them. He is obsessed with light switches and loves to turn them on and off. He climbs on everything now including the chairs, then onto the kitchen table or countertops.

He loves playing outside!! He will stay out there for hours if we let him. He plays in the dirt, loves to swing, and walks around picking up things like rocks and leaves and saying, "Yuck" then throwing them down. He learned to spin in circles with his arms out; which he LOVES to do. He still loves to dance anytime music is playing. One of his new moves is bobbing his head and moving it side to side. His other move is swinging his arms across his chest. Lately he has been trying to jump too when he walks around. It is hilarious.

Brooks loves to write and scribble with pens or crayons. He loves to be held. Brooks loves playing with these big foam swords we have. He will carry one in each hand all around the house. It is so funny. He loves to vacuum with his little toy vacuum and is obsessed with the real vacuum. If someone is vacuuming he has to be in their arms the whole time watching intently.

He is such a joy to have in our family. He smiles and goes to just about anyone. He is such a happy baby. He loves interacting with people. He is very friendly and smiley to everyone when we are out and about. He will wave and smileat strangers when I am waiting in line. It is the cutest thing.

Ryder Alan Bellows is 7 weeks old. He is a very content and good baby. He is a great sleeper already . . . we are so grateful for that! He has a ton of dark hair (we are not sure where that came from!). He had his first bath and really liked it. When he is awake he is very alert and loves to listen to people talking to him. He likes the carseat and riding in the car.

He started social smiling at us around 3 weeks old! He is very happy and loves to smile and coo.

Ryder loves the baby gym. He will smile and coo at the red bird that hangs down. He is so happy and I will often catch him just smiling at himself or his hands while on the changing table.

He loves to sleep in his car seat. If he gets tired or fussy he likes to be put in his car seat with his nuk and a favorite blanket and he falls right asleep. He will usually go 5-6 hours or sleep at night and once he went 8 hours straight! We hope that trend continues!

Our new family of 6!!
