A
pril
has already come and gone and here it is May already! I
can't believe it!! We got back into the swing of things with
school starting up again after a fun Spring break. We had
a great Easter with our families. We usually try to do an
Easter egg hunt with the Forman cousins on Saturday. Even
though it ended up being wet and rainy we were still able
to have the hunt inside at Grandma Becky's house. The kids
had fun finding all their eggs and checking out the candy
and prizes in them. We also enjoyed a yummy lunch together.
The cousins had fun playing with eachother. Afterwards we
came home and dyed some Easter eggs. Ashby and Dalton really
had fun with that! Easter
Sunday we hid the kids' baskets
in their rooms and watched them
try to find them. They were thrilled when they finally did
and loved all the things in them. They look forward to getting
a picture/book/ or calendar of Jesus Christ to help remind
them why we celebrate Easter. We went to church and the kids
looked so cute in their Easter outfits.
We tried
to
get a
few pics
but weren't
too
successful.
Church was great and afterwards we enjoyed dinner and more
family time with the Bellows' clan. The kids also
had another egg hunt at the Bellows. They were able
to find their own color eggs outside and some
even had a paper in them to redeem prizes from Grandma and
Grandpa. They loved that!! Brooks'
loved being outside and had a blast along with the other
kiddies.

We
have been enjoying the hot tub since Spring has started.
The
kids love it!! Ashby and Dalton usually go in every night before
bedtime. The kids are both starting swim lessons again
in May. They are both really excited about it.

Another
favorite thing we have been doing this month is playing
outside more!! It has been a long winter and the kids
have been loving being able to go outside and play on the swing
set. It
has been fun to watch Dalton swing by himself this year.
He can even start himself; He loves it and really gets up there!
We even let Brooks
give the swings
a
try,
and he loved it too! Look at that smile! The kids also love riding
their bikes in the front yard.

Ryan
is still loving his new job thus far at NV
Energy as its Assistant General Counsel!!! It is already
less stress and less hours so everyone is happy. Ryan is
still enjoying his new calling in our ward as a High
Counselor. He recently was asked to conduct the dedication
of the new church that was built in Sun Valley. I was able to
attend as well as Ryan's parents (My Mom was able to watch the
kids for us . . thanks Mom!!). It was a beautiful dedication. The
building is gorgeous. What a blessing for the people in that area.
Ryan's assignment is still over the spanish branch in Sun Valley. He
is enjoying using his spanish from his mission he served in Chile Ryan
is still very much enjoying his Judgeship. It
continues to be a welcome change from the same old and even very
rewarding.
I
have been keeping busy with the kids and all their activities.
I have been still volunteering in Ashby's class every other week,
which
Ashby
loves. I am 29 weeks along now and feeling great. I still have
a lot of energy and enjoy working out every day. I am still serving
as
1st
counselor
in
the Primary
Presidency. I love teaching the children in our ward.
My
sister Kristi and I are very excited to announce that we have started
a Custom Digital Photo Card Business. We have some great custom
cards for all occasions, Holidays, or invitations. customphotocards.blogspot.com
Ashby is 7
years old now! I can't believe it! She loves being
back at school with her friends and seeing her teachers. She
is such a great big sister and
loves playing with Dalton and helps watch Brooks a
lot. One of her favorite things to do is still writing cards
to family and friends. She loves drawing, playing games,
and swimming! She loves to read new books with her Daddy about
presidents of the United States and Politics. She is
very creative and is always finding fun things to do. She
never gets bored or runs out of ideas. We
have noticed she is a very talented writer. She
loves to write detailed stories in her journal at
school. Her teachers were impressed by her stories and
copied pages of her journal to share with other 1st grade teachers
and classes. Her
teachers have recommended her for the GATE program(for gifted
and talented learners). We are so grateful for a bright, sweet
child. Yay Ashby!! She is loving her
little dance class she goes to once a week. They
found out their
performance
in June is going to be Alice
in Wonderland! Ashby's class will be little rabbits. The
performance dates will be June 15th and 16th at 7:30pm at the
Spanish Springs Theatre. The dance
they are learning for it is the hussle. It is turning out
really
cute. Ashby is still our little bookworm; when it is quiet
around the house
Ashby
is
usually
curled up
reading one of her chapter books somewhere. We enjoy watching
Ashby's spirituality grow. She is very intuitive and sensitive
to the Spirit. It is neat to watch this quality in her continue
to grow. She loves reading the scriptures with
us as a family and loves going to church and learning the Gospel
with her friends.
Ryan
took Ashby to work with him one Saturday. She loved it! She kept
busy while he worked and played with the sticky notes and stuck
them all over herself. Ryan took a pic and sent it to me. I thought
it was a cute picture of her. She is such a Daddy's girl!
Dalton
is 4 years old. He
is a great little reader and
loves going to preschool 2 times a week. He
has really been into Math lately. He loves
to add numbers in his head, and count and measure things. He
has a lot of good friends at school including his cousin
Ben. He
is so happy and excited when I pick him up from school.
We have been having several playdates with preschool
buddies.
Dalton LOVES friends
and cousins. He is still obsessed with anything
Star Wars and loves playing the Wii.
Dalton continues to love his CTR 4 class at
church and
is learning a lot. He loves to read the scriptures
with us as a family and is really interested in all
the stories.
He
is quick to remember things we have read together.
He really
loves having and playing with friends. He makes new
friends quickly wherever we go. It is really cute.
He misses Ashby at school but is enjoying time with
me
and Brooks. Dalton
is a great big brother.
He will get me a diaper when I need one, hold Brooks,
and is very gentle and loving towards him. It is really
cute to watch
him. He is getting pretty good at writing his name.
He also likes drawing pictures or coloring in his Spiderman
book. He loves playing games on Daddy's iphone.
He has a great sense of humor and always has us laughing
at his antics. He loves playing outside(especially
swinging or having light saber battles) and riding
his bike.
Brooks
is 14 months now! We are sure enjoying this little
guy. He is learning and growing so much each day. He has started
saying a lot of words and animal sounds. He
loves to go into the bathroom and say, "Yuck!" when he gets
near the toliet
or toliet brush. He loves to look at pictures of our family
on the walls and say the names like, "Ash or Da!" He loves
making the lion sound! He says, "Clock", "duck", ball,
and "hi" pretty clearly when we are reading
together.
He loves
to put the phone up to his ear like he is talking on the phone.
It is so cute. We turned his carseat around so it is forward
facing now. He loves it!! He is totally silent in the car just checking
everything out. He looks so cute and grown up in it now.
He loves
to look out the window to the backyard
and watch the kids playing or just to see what is out there. He
loves playing in the curtains with
Dalton too. Those two will be cracking up together playing hide
and seek and yelling, "Boo!" to each other.
He has
finally mastered the stairs! Yay!! Now we don't have to worry about
him falling.
He
loves playing outside!! He will stay out there for hours
if we let him. He plays in the dirt, loves to swing, and walks
around picking
up things like rocks and leaves and saying, "Yuck" then throwing
them down. He loves wearing sun glasses! He
loves playing with bubbles outside.
He still
loves to dance anytime music is playing. One of his new moves is
bobbing his head and moving it side to side. His other move is
swinging his arms across his chest. Lately he has been trying to
jump too
when
he walks around. It is hilarious.
Brooks
loves music. Anytime music comes on or we start singing for Family
Home Evening or in church he stops whatever he is doing and has
the biggest smile on his face.
Brooks
loves to write and scribble with pens or crayons. He still loves
reading books. He loves to be held.
Brooks
loves playing with these big foam swords we have.
He will carry one in each hand all around the house. It is so funny. He
loves to vacuum with his little toy vacuum and is obsessed
with the real vacuum. If someone is vacuuming he has to be in
their arms
the whole time watching intently.
Brooks
learned how to open the doors in our house now!
We have latch door handles so he just gets on his tippy toes and
can pull down on
the latch and crack open the door. It is crazy!! He gets into everything
he is not supposed to now.
Brooks
loves to eat. Especially fruits. He still enjoys baby
food along with regular food. His favorites are cutie oranges,
blueberries,
strawberries, and pears! He loves the mixed vegtable baby food.
He loves yogurt. For breakfast he loves eating waffles or pancakes.
He is obsessed with drinks of any kind from straws! He loves his
bottle
of milk(we
switched to milk from formula as soon as we came back from Hawaii).
It is great and much cheaper! He has 2 bottles a day one in the
morning and one at night.
He
is such a joy to have in our family. He smiles and goes to just
about
anyone. He is such a happy baby. He loves to be held.
He loves interacting with people. He is very friendly and smiley
to
everyone
when we
are
out and about. He will wave and smile at strangers when I am waiting
in line. It is the cutest thing.
