January was very low-key month for us. We celebrated New Years with an adult dinner at my parents house. We had our annual crab feed and chocolate fondue. It was delish!! We didn't make it to midnight and the kids were in bed of their usual time of 7:30!! Ha ha. Our New Years tradition with the kids is they get to smash their gingerbread houses with a hammer. They LOVE that! We also started a new tradition this year of doing New Year's interviews with the kids. I video taped them answering a bunch of questions. Every year we will do the same questions. It is a great tradition and we had a lot of fun with it.

We took the kids swimming at the indoor community pool with their cousins Avery and Preston. They had a lot of fun. Ashby loved jumping off the diving board and Dalton loved swimming around.

We finally got some snow this month! The kids have been dying to play in the snow and go sledding. It wasn't much snow really but they still were able to go sledding in the morning with Dad before it melted by afternoon time. Ryan went to Las Vegas and Dallas this month for work so we were missing Daddy a lot this month. I am so blessed to have supportive family close-by.

We made a few home improvements this month. We hung up a gallery wall on our staircase and hung more pictures in our entry-way. Now we have all 4 kids up on the wall finally!!I loved the way it turned out. We also transformed the kids play room into a play area/game loft.

Ryan is still enjoying his new job at NV Energy. He is still traveling a lot to Las Vegas. He has been there 1 year now! He received a promotion and is now the director of Human Resources. He is still doing all their legal work too. Way to go Ryan. We are all really proud of him. He has been traveling to Las Vegas a lot (probably every other week) this past month. Ryan is still enjoying his new calling in our ward as a High Counselor. Ryan's assignment is still over the spanish branch in Sun Valley. He is enjoying using his spanish from his mission he served in Chile Ryan is still very much enjoying his Judgeship. It continues to be a welcome change from the same old and even very rewarding.

I have a new obsession: Pinterest! If you haven't heard about it you are missing out! It is so fun. It is basically an online pinboard full of ideas you can share and "pin" to your own boards to keep your ideas and things you like organized. It is so cool! You can also see what your friends are posting. It has so many great ideas on it.

Thanks to Pinterest I have been really into DIY home decor. I have finished quite a few projects for V-Day. I will post them on the blog.

I have been loving my CAMEO. It is the coolest machine. It cuts vinyl, fabric, and paper. I have been making all kinds of home decor and party stuff for the kids birthdays coming up.

Things at home are good. 4 kids keep me hopping! I still love working out everyday. I got released this month from my calling as 1st counselor in the Primary Presidency. Now I am serving on the Relief Society Committee. We are in charge of all the activities. It should be a good calling.

My sister Kristi and I are very excited to announce that we have started a Custom Digital Photo Card Business. We have some great custom cards for all occasions, Holidays, or invitations. customphotocards.blogspot.com

Ashby is 7 years old now! She turns 8 next month. She is very excited about her birthday & upcoming baptism. She will be baptized on Saturday March 3rd. She wanted to read and finish the Book Of Mormon before her baptism so we are working on that goal together. It has been so great to read the scriptures together every night.

She started basketball again this month. She is on the same team as a bunch of her friends and we know the coach well. She loves it.

She is still doing Ballet and Dance each week as well. She is pretty busy but when she has down time she has been enjoying playing her new DS, reading or playing with her Dolls.

Ashby also found out what performance her other dance class will be doing. It is Peter Pan!! Her class are pirates. She is very excited about it.

Ashby is always amazing me with her conscientious attitude and desire to do good. She makes sure she reads everyday and does her homework right away. She loves doing writing, crafts or drawing. My favorite thing she does every month is make new pictures or crafts for her cork board on her desk. It always has a theme for the month. This month during quiet time she made her own baptism board.

She is a great big sister and loves playing with Dalton and helps watch Brooks a lot. She adores little Ryder and loves holding him. She loves watching Wheel of Fortune with us at night. She is pretty darn good too! One of her favorite things to do is still writing cards to family and friends. She loves drawing, playing games, and swimming! She loves to read the scriptures with her Daddy. She is very creative and is always finding fun things to do.She never gets bored or runs out of ideas. We have noticed she is a very talented writer. She loves to write detailed stories & poems. We are so grateful for a bright, sweet child.

We enjoy watching Ashby's spirituality grow. She is very intuitive and sensitive to the Spirit. It is neat to watch this quality in her continue to grow. She loves reading the scriptures with us as a family and loves going to church and learning the Gospel with her friends.

Dalton is 5 years old now! He still loves going to Miss Susan's preschool twice a week with some of his good friends. We carpool so each Mom only has to pick up once every 2 weeks. It is awesome! The kids love riding together in the car.

Dalton loves going on special outings with Dad or Grandpa. He loves having his friends over for playdates.

He has gotten back into Super Mario Brothers lately and loves playing the game on the Wii or the DS. He also loves playing with the mario action figures he has.

He is a great little reader already. He read his first talk in Primary last week. He did a great job. We were so proud of him.

His writing has really improved and now he is writing a lot of words and he also likes doing his kindergarten workbooks.

He has been into Math lately. He loves to add numbers in his head, and count and measure things. Dalton LOVES friends and cousins. He makes new friends quickly wherever we go. It is really cute. Dalton continues to love his CTR 5 class at church and is learning a lot. He loves to read the scriptures with us as a family and is really interested in all the stories. He is quick to remember things we have read together. He misses Ashby at school but is enjoying time with me Brooks and Ryder. Dalton is a great big brother. He will get me a diaper when I need one, hold Brooks, and is very gentle and loving towards him. It is really cute to watch him. He loves playing games on Daddy's iphone. He has a great sense of humor and always has us laughing at his antics. He loves playing outside(especially swinging or having light saber battles) and riding his bike.

Brooks is 23 months now! He turns 2 next month!! He is still such a handful! What a busy boy he is. He still loves climbing on things he's not supposed to. He loves messing with the light switches and constantly going in the pantry trying to get into all the food. He loves drinks and will try to drink anyone's soda if he can get it quick enough!

He is talking a ton! He is a great communicator and we can usually tell exactly what he wants. He loves singing and can sing a few songs really well by himself.

He is still very much a Daddy's boy. We are sure enjoying this little guy. He now goes down and up the stairs like a normal person one step at a time.

He loves going to nursery at church and is going all by himself! Hooray for that!

Brooks loves the Backyardigins show on Nick Jr. He is obsessed! He will sing the opening song nearly perfectly. He also loves Toy Story especially Buzz Lightyear!

He loves playing with animals, star wars guys, balls, or anything he can push or pull.

He loves wearing rings and bracelets. He will keep them on all day if we let him. It is pretty funny.

He loves books. He will get a book and plop down in anyone's lap and make them read to him. If you are standing he will grab your hand and pull you to the couch and say, "sit, sit!" until you do it.

He loves music and dancing. He moves his shoulders from side to side that is one of his favorite moves. He loves to jump with both feet off the ground and run all over the house. He has discovered the power of a high-pitched scream! He loves giving Ashby and Dalton hugs then tackling them to the ground and playing around rough-housing with them.

He loves to be held still. Often times he will let Mommy or Daddy hold him while her watches TV for 30-45 min. It is kind of nice. He loves to vacuum with his little toy vacuum and is obsessed with the real vacuum. If someone is vacuuming he has to be in their arms the whole time watching intently.

He is such a joy to have in our family. He smiles and goes to just about anyone. He is such a happy little guy. He loves interacting with people. He is very friendly and smiley to everyone when we are out and about. He started being shy this month and putting his hands over his face to hide it.

Ryder is 6 months old. He is healthy and doing great now. He can almost sit up by himself now. His favorite thing to do is roll all around the room and play with toys. He really likes playing on his tummy too.

He likes playing with his feet. He started babbling a lot and being more vocal.

He started baby food in addition to rice cereal this month. It took him FOREVER to like and get used to eating with a spoon but now he is doing really well with solids. I am so glad! His favorites so far are apples, bananas, sweet potatoes, and squash.

He is a very happy baby. When he is awake he just smiles and laughs (!) at us all the time. He is such a joy! He is a great sleeper already(he sleeps 11-12 hours straight at night). Lately it is so cute in the mornings instead of crying when he gets up he will just lay in bed and talk to himself. What a little angel!

He still has a head full of dark hair and blue, blue eyes. He likes the car seat and riding in the car.

He is a great napper. As soon as he gets a little fussy we put him in his bed awake with his blanket and nuk and he falls right asleep in a couple of minutes sometimes even seconds. It is awesome! He does not like to be rocked or held when he sleeps. He just wants to be put in his bed!

Ryder is such a low maintenance baby! We can go anywhere with him. He usually just sleeps or is content in the carrier. It is heaven!

Ryder loves the bouncer or bumbo. He will sit in those and watch everyone around him or grab at the toys on the toy bar. He is so happy and I will often catch him just smiling at himself or his hands while in the bouncer.
